There are many forms of Temporary Tattoos: 'Lick'm-Stick'ms (kids tattoos that can be purchased in many stores), higher quality Transfer Tattoos (this is a professional grade type of transfer tattoo that really looks like the real thing and is used in Hollywood; they are much more expensive than the Lick'm-Stick'ms), and there is also simply tattoo paint that can be painted 'free-hand' or used with air brush equipment and stencils. What these products all have in common is the fact that they are 'water-proof'. They can last up to 5 days (2-3 days is more likely) and wear off gradually as the natural oils of the skin break down the product which is oil/alcohol based in most cases.
Temporary Tattoo drawn free hand
This design was done with an outline transfer and then coloured in with tattoo paint. Though we are known for 'free-hand' designs, the transfers allow for some very elaborate and large designs to be done quickly like dragons and eagles etc...
This is an example of a 'free-hand' design that was created to fit in with the 'Theme' of a particular event.
